CONNECTING THE WORLD OF WINEMAKERS TO THE COMMUNITY OF CONNOISSEURS

Community is rooted in the soul. Historically, the only beverage and food option and access was to local small businesses (wineries) and restaurants. While it may have been the only option at the time, it also gave people a sense of pride that they were doing something that directly uplifted and benefitted community. It was fellowship. It was working towards a common goal, business growth within your local town. It just felt GOOD! Last year, Urban Connoisseurs, LLC created a series (focus) called "Back to Our Roots". Back to Our Roots is a beverage and culinary experience, a celebration of community, and a reminder that what the ancestors built is rooted deep and will never be broken - only strengthened when commuinity comes together. Back to Our Roots is a celebration experience, and a reminder of foundation.

The Relationships

Urban Connoisseurs Wine Group is a value added sales and marketing provider. Urban Connoisseurs supports wineries, vineyards and winemakers from African descent who produce fine wines. We promote these wineries through orchestrating relationships with retailers and other businesses to sell their brands.

The Stories

We tell the winemakers’ story. Time and again, professionals in the wine industry have said wine sells when the buyer knows the story behind the grape. Getting to know the person behind the grape, as well as the grape’s journey is one of the best ways to help the purchaser experience the wine.
